Intersafe and CSR

As a leading distributor Intersafe takes its responsibility in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).seriously. This is done is through membership of BSCI. BSCI provides a structure for monitoring the production of our suppliers.

The CSR policy of Intersafe is based on both sustainable and responsible products to our core assortment and continuous improvement of our daily operations, aimed at reduction of environmental pollution. Obviously, to shareholders income, profitability and cash flow is important, but also broader policy objectives that determine how these targets are achieved in a sustainable, socially responsible manner.

Trust
Intersafe is a trading company, selling products from a huge variety of manufacturers. The social enterprise begins with the choice of our suppliers and tariff agreements are a  method of fabricating an integral part of the selection process. This approach provides an assurance of CSR in the supply chain for our customers. Our customers should be confident that gloves, clothing and other protective equipment are produced in a socially responsible way.  The membership of BSCI provides the structure for monitoring the production of our suppliers.

Printed Materials
The Marketing Department is also active in making environmental impact improvements. First, they looked at printed matter, the two largest projects in terms of circulation are price lists and literature. Starting this year, FSC paper is being used. The next step is to look at the logo on invoices and packing slips etc..with a view to reducing the amount of printing needed. We strive for more orders, invoices and other parts of the ordering process to be performed digitally to reduce paper useage.
